Dive Conditions
Galaxy is an exceptional dive site located at Groot Fam Island in Raja Ampat’s Fam Islands, West Papua, Indonesia. This Pacific Ocean destination offers stunning underwater scenery suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
Divers descend to depths between 15-40 meters, where pristine coral gardens and dramatic rock formations create a mesmerizing landscape. The site features vibrant hard and soft corals hosting abundant marine life, including schools of fusiliers, trevally, and snappers.
The nutrient-rich waters of the Halmahera Sea support diverse wildlife encounters. Divers frequently spot reef sharks, rays, and abundant smaller fish species darting through intricate coral structures. Macro life, including nudibranchs and crustaceans, adds to the biodiversity.
Strong currents are common, making this site best suited for experienced divers comfortable with drift diving. Excellent visibility typically ranges from 15-25 meters, depending on conditions.
