Air Wall
# Air Wall, Gili Air
Dive Conditions
Air Wall is a spectacular drift dive located off the coast of Gili Air in the Gili Islands, Indonesia. This site features a dramatic underwater wall that drops from shallow waters to approximately 40 meters (130 feet), offering an exhilarating experience for intermediate to advanced divers.
The wall is renowned for its vibrant coral formations and abundant marine life. Divers encounter schools of jacks, trevally, and barracuda, while reef sharks, sea turtles, and humphead parrotfish are frequently spotted. The nutrient-rich Bali Sea waters support dense soft coral gardens and sponge growth along the wall face.
This drift dive requires good buoyancy control and current awareness, as conditions can be moderate to strong. The gentle current typically pushes divers along the wall, providing excellent opportunities for underwater photography and marine observation.
Air Wall is best suited for divers with open water certification and drift diving experience. The site operates year-round, though conditions vary seasonally. Multiple daily dive trips depart from Gili Air’s dive shops.
