Cannibal Rock is a premier dive site located off Rinca Island in Komodo National Park, Indonesia. This challenging dive features a distinctive rock formation rising from the seafloor in the nutrient-rich Sumba Strait, attracting abundant marine life.

Divers encounter strong currents and depths ranging from 15 to 40 meters, making this site suitable for experienced divers only. The rocky terrain creates dramatic underwater topography with crevices and overhangs to explore.

Marine biodiversity is exceptional, including large pelagic species such as reef sharks, eagle rays, and schooling jacks. Smaller reef inhabitants like nudibranchs, seahorses, and colorful reef fish thrive in the current-swept waters. Encounters with manta rays are possible during seasonal visits.

Visibility typically ranges from 10 to 20 meters, variable due to currents and seasonal conditions. The site demands excellent buoyancy control, strong swimming ability, and comfort with drift diving. Best visited during dry season months when sea conditions are more predictable. Cannibal Rock rewards skilled divers with exceptional wildlife encounters and pristine coral ecosystems.
