Torro Sie
# Torro Sie – Rinca, Komodo
Dive Conditions
Torro Sie offers an exceptional dive experience off Rinca Island in the Komodo archipelago. Located in the Savu Sea within the Sumba Strait, this site features dramatic underwater topography with steep walls and sandy slopes descending to depths of 40 meters, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
Divers encounter vibrant coral gardens, particularly on shallower sections, alongside impressive rock formations and boulders. The site’s strong currents support abundant marine life, including large pelagic species such as reef sharks, jacks, and barracuda. Smaller fauna includes colorful reef fish, nudibranchs, and occasionally sea turtles.
Visibility typically ranges from 10-25 meters, depending on tidal conditions and seasonal factors. The challenging currents and depth require experienced divers comfortable with drift diving. Torro Sie exemplifies the rich biodiversity of Komodo’s marine ecosystem, offering rewarding encounters with both macro and large marine species in the pristine waters of East Nusa Tenggara.
