The Magnet is a renowned dive site located off the coast of Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This intermediate to advanced dive site features dramatic underwater topography with steep walls, pinnacles, and rocky outcrops that attract abundant marine life. Divers typically experience depths ranging from 12 to 40 meters, with excellent visibility during optimal conditions.

The site is renowned for encounters with large pelagic species, including reef sharks, trevally, and groupers that patrol the currents. The name “Magnet” derives from the site’s exceptional ability to attract schools of barracuda, jacks, and snappers. Colorful coral formations and diverse reef fish populate the shallower sections, while the deeper channels host occasional sightings of rays and larger predatory fish.

Strong currents are common at The Magnet, making it suitable for experienced divers comfortable with drift diving. The nutrient-rich waters support vibrant marine ecosystems and make this an exceptional destination for underwater photography and observing large pelagic marine life in their natural habitat.
