The Morning Edge is a spectacular pinnacle dive site located at Payu Island in Thailand’s renowned Similan Islands. This premier destination features a dramatic underwater ridge that rises from depths of 40 meters, creating stunning topography for exploration.
Divers encounter vibrant granite boulders, rocky outcrops, and a thriving reef ecosystem teeming with marine life. The site is renowned for encounters with large pelagic species, including barracuda, trevally, and occasionally reef sharks. Colorful soft corals and anemones blanket the rocky formations, while smaller reef fish dart among the crevices.
With maximum depths reaching 40+ meters, The Morning Edge is suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. The site can experience strong currents, particularly during monsoon seasons, adding to its challenging nature. Morning dives often provide the best visibility and most active marine life encounters.
