Deep Six is a renowned dive site located at Payu Island in Thailand’s Similan Islands, situated in the Andaman Sea. This challenging dive features a dramatic granite boulder formation that descends to approximately 40 meters, making it suitable for experienced divers only.
Divers encounter impressive underwater topography with large rock formations creating swim-throughs and natural channels. The site is characterized by strong currents, which attract abundant marine life including reef sharks, giant trevally, snappers, and occasional manta rays. Schools of barracuda and jacks frequently patrol the deeper sections.
The granite boulders are adorned with soft corals and sea fans, supporting diverse reef ecosystems. Visibility typically ranges from 15-30 meters depending on seasonal conditions. The site’s depth and current require advanced diving skills and proper buoyancy control.
