# Chinese Wall, Miang Island – Similan Islands Dive Site
Dive Conditions
Chinese Wall is an exceptional dive site located at Miang Island in the Similan Islands, Phang Nga Province, Thailand. This iconic underwater formation features a dramatic vertical granite wall that plunges into the Andaman Sea, offering stunning wall diving experiences.
Divers encounter impressive hard coral formations, colorful sponges, and vibrant reef fish throughout the site. The marine life is abundant, including barracuda, fusiliers, snappers, and occasionally larger pelagics such as reef sharks and groupers. The nutrient-rich waters support diverse macro life and nudibranchs.
The dive typically reaches depths of 12-40 meters, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. The site features strong currents that provide excellent drift diving opportunities but require good buoyancy control and diving experience.
Visibility generally ranges from 15-25 meters, though conditions vary seasonally. The best diving season runs from November to May when weather and water conditions are most favorable in the Andaman Sea.
