# Nang Yuan Cave Dive Site
Dive Conditions
Nang Yuan Cave, located off the pristine island of Nang Yuan in Ko Phangan District, Surat Thani, offers an exceptional diving experience in Thailand’s Gulf of Thailand. This moderately challenging site features a dramatic underwater cave system suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
Divers descend through crystal-clear waters to depths ranging from 12-40 meters, navigating through impressive rock formations and cavern passages. The cave entrance opens to a spectacular tunnel with shafts of sunlight filtering through cracks, creating an ethereal atmosphere.
Marine life is abundant throughout the dive, including colorful schools of fusiliers, groupers, snappers, and barracuda. Smaller species such as gobies, blennies, and nudibranchs can be spotted among the rocks and coral formations. Occasionally, trevally and other pelagic species patrol the area.
Visibility typically exceeds 20 meters, making for excellent underwater photography opportunities. The site requires careful navigation and proper buoyancy control due to the cave environment, making it ideal for certified divers seeking adventure and natural beauty.
