# Japanese Garden Dive Site
Dive Conditions
Japanese Garden is a stunning coral reef located at Nang Yuan in Ko Phangan District, Gulf of Thailand. This popular dive site features vibrant hard coral formations that resemble an intricate Japanese garden landscape, creating a visually spectacular underwater environment.
Divers can expect depths ranging from 5 to 25 meters, making it suitable for both beginners and intermediate divers. The site is characterized by gentle sloping reefs with excellent coral diversity, including table corals, brain corals, and staghorn formations.
Marine life is abundant throughout the site. Common encounters include colorful reef fish, angelfish, parrotfish, and fusiliers schooling through the corals. Divers may also spot butterflyfish, groupers, and occasionally reef sharks patrolling the area. The healthy ecosystem supports various invertebrates including nudibranchs and sea stars.
The moderate currents and good visibility make Japanese Garden an ideal dive destination for developing diving skills while experiencing the rich biodiversity of Thailand’s Gulf waters. The site is accessible year-round and remains one of Nang Yuan’s premier diving locations.
