Boulder City is a remarkable underwater formation located off Racha Yai Island near Phuket, Thailand. This popular dive site features massive granite boulders scattered across the seafloor, creating a dramatic landscape with numerous caves, crevices, and swim-throughs. Depths range from 12 to 24 meters, making it suitable for intermediate divers.

Divers encounter vibrant coral-encrusted rocks teeming with tropical marine life. Common sightings include reef sharks, groupers, snappers, trevally, and lionfish. Smaller creatures like nudibranchs, crustaceans, and reef fish thrive in the crevices. Visibility typically ranges from 10 to 20 meters depending on season.

The site’s boulder formations provide excellent opportunities for exploration and photography. Strong currents can occur, particularly during monsoon seasons, requiring good buoyancy control and experience navigating through rock formations. Boulder City is best visited during dry season months when conditions are optimal for safe, enjoyable diving in the Andaman Sea.
