Batu Bolong, located in Komodo’s Flores Sea, is a stunning pinnacle dive renowned for its dramatic underwater topography and exceptional marine biodiversity. This site features a rock formation that rises from approximately 40 meters, with its peak reaching shallower waters, creating a natural gathering point for abundant marine life.
Divers encounter strong currents, making this site best suited for intermediate to advanced swimmers. Visibility typically ranges from 8-20 meters, depending on seasonal conditions. The site showcases vibrant coral gardens, rocky outcrops, and vertical walls teeming with activity.
Marine life encounters frequently include schools of barracuda, trevally, and snappers circling the pinnacle. Reef sharks, groupers, and various ray species inhabit deeper sections. Smaller creatures like nudibranchs, moray eels, and crustaceans hide within crevices. Pelagic species occasionally pass through, creating thrilling photo opportunities.
