Siaba Besar, known as Turtle Point, is a premier diving destination in Komodo’s Flores Sea. Located in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, this site offers exceptional underwater encounters at depths ranging from 5 to 40 meters, suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
This vibrant reef system showcases dramatic rocky formations, coral gardens, and sandy slopes teeming with marine biodiversity. Divers regularly encounter green and hawksbill sea turtles navigating the reef, alongside manta rays, reef sharks, and schooling trevally. The site features healthy coral coverage with colorful reef fish including groupers, snappers, and nudibranchs.
Strong currents are common, making this an exciting drift dive for experienced divers. Visibility typically ranges from 10-25 meters, depending on seasonal conditions. The site’s popularity stems from its reliable marine life encounters, particularly turtle sightings, combined with pristine reef conditions. Turtle Point is best dived during Indonesia’s dry season, offering optimal conditions for exploring Komodo’s world-class underwater environment.
