Koh Tachai Pinnacle is a premier dive site located off Koh Tachai island in Phang Nga Province, southern Thailand, in the Andaman Sea. This stunning underwater formation features a dramatic rocky pinnacle rising from depths of 40 meters, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
Divers encounter vibrant coral-covered rocks teeming with diverse marine life, including large schools of barracuda, trevally, and snappers. The site is renowned for encounters with reef sharks, groupers, and occasional pelagic species. The pinnacle’s crevices and overhangs create excellent opportunities for observing smaller creatures like nudibranchs and crustaceans.
The site’s main pinnacle peaks at approximately 8-12 meters depth, while deeper exploration reaches 40+ meters. Strong currents are common, requiring solid buoyancy control and navigation skills. Visibility typically ranges from 10-25 meters, depending on seasonal conditions.
