Anemone Reef is a vibrant dive site located in the Andaman Sea off Phuket, Southern Thailand. This shallow to moderate reef sits at depths of 8-18 meters, making it ideal for divers of all experience levels, including beginners and certification courses.
The reef features colorful hard and soft corals, with abundant sea anemones that give the site its distinctive name. Divers encounter diverse marine life including clownfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, and occasional larger species such as grouper and snappers. The nutrient-rich waters support healthy coral gardens and provide excellent visibility during optimal conditions.
The site offers moderate currents and straightforward navigation, with the main reef formation running parallel to the dive route. The sandy bottom interspersed with coral bommies creates varied topography for exploration. Strong coral coverage and prolific fish life make Anemone Reef a popular choice for underwater photography and marine observation.
Accessible year-round, though conditions are best from November to April, this reef exemplifies the biodiversity of Thailand’s Andaman diving destinations.
