Shark’s Bay in Sharm El Sheikh offers an exceptional diving experience in Egypt’s Red Sea. Located along the Sinai Peninsula, this renowned site features stunning coral formations and diverse marine ecosystems at depths ranging from 5 to 40 meters, suitable for divers of all levels.
Divers encounter vibrant hard and soft corals, including tables and branching formations that create an underwater landscape of remarkable beauty. The bay’s protected waters host abundant marine life, including reef fish such as parrotfish, groupers, and snappers. Sharks—typically reef sharks and occasionally larger species—frequent these waters, giving the site its distinctive name. Additional sightings include rays, moray eels, and various crustaceans.
The site’s sandy bottom interspersed with coral heads makes navigation straightforward, making it ideal for intermediate divers while remaining accessible to beginners in shallower sections.
