Shab Pinky is a premier reef diving destination located in Qesm Hurghada, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt. This shallow to moderate depth site ranges from 5 to 25 meters, making it suitable for divers of intermediate skill levels and above.
The site features stunning coral formations, vibrant reef structures, and sandy slopes that create diverse underwater topography. Divers encounter an abundance of colorful reef fish, including snappers, groupers, and fusiliers. The site is known for frequent pelagic encounters, with jackfish schools, barracuda, and occasionally larger species patrolling the reef.
Shab Pinky’s shallow sections are ideal for leisurely exploration and photography, while deeper areas offer more challenging terrain. The reef’s healthy coral coverage provides excellent biodiversity, featuring soft corals and hard coral formations that support a rich marine ecosystem.
Visibility typically ranges from 15 to 30 meters, depending on seasonal conditions. Strong currents can occur, requiring moderate to advanced diving skills for certain areas. This site is accessible via boat from Hurghada and offers rewarding dives throughout the year, making it a favorite among both recreational and experienced divers exploring Egypt’s Red Sea reefs.
