Sanur offers accessible diving in Bali’s Badung Strait, ideal for beginners and intermediate divers. Located along Bali’s southeastern coast, this popular site features depths ranging from 5 to 30 meters, with gentle slopes and sandy bottoms.
Divers encounter vibrant coral gardens, including table corals and soft coral formations that attract diverse marine life. Common sightings include reef fish, groupers, snappers, parrotfish, and occasional sea turtles. Macro enthusiasts appreciate encounters with nudibranchs, seahorses, and crustaceans among the coral structures.
The site benefits from relatively calm conditions, making it suitable for certification courses and recreational diving. Visibility typically ranges from 10 to 20 meters, depending on seasonal conditions. The Badung Strait’s currents can vary, providing interesting drift opportunities during optimal conditions.
