Ridge Rock at Pulau Wajang is a premier dive site in Raja Ampat’s pristine Halmahera Sea. Located off Waigeo Island in West Papua, this underwater formation features dramatic rocky ridges and slopes that descend to approximately 30-40 meters, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.

Divers encounter vibrant coral gardens adorning the ridge formations, with excellent visibility typically ranging from 15-25 meters. The site showcases remarkable biodiversity, including large schools of barracuda, jacks, and tuna, alongside reef sharks and Napoleon wrasses. Smaller marine life such as nudibranchs, gobies, and crustaceans inhabit the crevices.

The moderate to strong currents that sweep Ridge Rock create dynamic diving conditions, bringing nutrient-rich water that supports lush coral growth and attracts pelagic species. The terrain offers natural navigation landmarks through its distinctive ridge systems.

Best diving conditions occur during the dry season. Ridge Rock delivers spectacular encounters with Raja Ampat’s renowned marine abundance, making it essential for experiencing the region’s exceptional underwater ecosystems.
