Ras Za’atar is a premier reef diving destination located in Sharm El Sheikh, Sinai, in the Red Sea. This spectacular site features dramatic coral formations and steep drop-offs that attract divers of all experience levels.

Divers explore vibrant hard and soft coral gardens, with depths ranging from 12 to 40 meters, making it suitable for both recreational and advanced divers. The site’s pristine reef wall showcases stunning biodiversity and excellent visibility, typically 20-30 meters.

Marine life encounters include colorful reef fish, jacks, snappers, groupers, and pelagic species such as barracuda and trevally. Divers frequently spot sea turtles, moray eels, and various shark species cruising the drop-off. The reef also hosts nudibranchs, crustaceans, and smaller macro life.

Ras Za’atar’s moderate to challenging currents require intermediate diving skills and proper buoyancy control. The site’s northern position along the Sinai Peninsula provides access to some of the Red Sea’s most pristine and biodiverse underwater ecosystems, making it an unforgettable African dive experience.
