Dive Conditions
Medhu Faru is a pristine thila (reef pinnacle) located in North Male Atoll, offering an exceptional diving experience in the Maldives. This site features dramatic coral formations and steep walls that attract diverse marine life, making it ideal for intermediate to advanced divers.
Divers encounter vibrant hard and soft corals, colorful reef fish, and regular visits from pelagic species including reef sharks and trevally. The nutrient-rich waters support abundant fish populations, particularly during drift dives when currents bring larger species.

The site’s variable topography accommodates different experience levels within its boundaries, though stronger currents and occasional strong surge make it better suited for experienced divers.
Medhu Faru’s excellent visibility and thriving ecosystem make it a favorite for both fish-watching and macro photography. The site’s remote location within North Male Atoll ensures excellent coral health and biodiversity, offering memorable encounters with the Indian Ocean’s tropical marine environment year-round.
