Dive Conditions
Magic Rock at Coquille Island in Waigeo Island offers an exceptional diving experience in Raja Ampat’s pristine waters. This moderately challenging site features dramatic underwater rock formations and boulder gardens that create a visually stunning landscape.
Divers encounter vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish species, including fusiliers, snappers, and groupers. The site’s rocky terrain provides excellent habitat for reef sharks, rays, and octopuses. Nudibranchs and other macro life are commonly spotted among the crevices.
Depths range from 8 to 35 meters, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. Strong currents are typical, requiring proper technique and experience. The dive is best suited for those comfortable with drift diving and moderate to strong water movement.
