Dive Conditions
Kuda Faru is a pristine reef site located in North Male Atoll, Kaafu Atoll, offering exceptional diving experiences in the Maldives. This Indian Ocean destination features vibrant coral formations and abundant marine biodiversity, making it ideal for both intermediate and advanced divers.
The site showcases healthy hard and soft coral gardens, dramatic reef walls, and sandy slopes descending to depths of 15-40 meters. Divers encounter diverse pelagic species including reef sharks, trevally, and barracuda, alongside colorful reef fish such as fusiliers, snappers, and emperor fish.
The nutrient-rich waters attract large schools of fish and occasional visiting manta rays, particularly during seasonal currents. The reef structure provides excellent opportunities for drift diving and exploration of cave formations.
Kuda Faru’s moderate to strong currents demand competent swimmers with experience in drift diving. Best visited during dry season months, this site rewards divers with outstanding visibility and thriving coral ecosystems.
