Dive Conditions
The Kingston is a captivating wreck dive located in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, situated in the Red Sea off the Sinai Peninsula. This site offers an exciting exploration of a sunken vessel, making it ideal for intermediate to advanced divers seeking underwater adventure.
Divers descend to depths ranging from 20 to 40 meters, where the Kingston’s remains create an impressive artificial reef. The wreck features intact sections including the hull, deck structures, and interior compartments that attract diverse marine life. Visibility typically ranges from 15 to 25 meters, providing good viewing conditions.
Marine encounters include schools of jacks, snappers, groupers, and fusiliers that patrol the wreck. Reef sharks, moray eels, and barracuda are frequently spotted. Colorful corals and smaller reef fish populate surrounding areas.
The site presents moderate to challenging conditions due to depth and potential currents. Strong water movement can occur, requiring good buoyancy control and experience with drift diving.
