Hammerhead Point in Madivaru, Lhaviyani Atoll, is a premier dive destination renowned for encounters with scalloped hammerhead sharks. Located in the Maldives’ pristine waters, this site offers thrilling diving experiences for intermediate to advanced divers.
The dive site features dramatic drop-offs and strong currents that attract large pelagic species. Divers can expect to see schools of hammerhead sharks, particularly during seasonal migrations, along with reef sharks, tuna, and barracuda. The vibrant coral-covered walls host abundant tropical fish species and intricate reef formations.
Depth ranges from 12 to 40+ meters, with most activity occurring at deeper levels. The challenging currents and depth make this site suitable for experienced divers with advanced certification. Visibility typically exceeds 20 meters, providing excellent opportunities for observing marine life.
