Grand Coral is a premier dive site located in Qesm Safaga, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt. This spectacular destination showcases magnificent coral formations that dominate the underwater landscape, featuring vibrant hard and soft corals in stunning array of colors and shapes.
The site is suitable for divers of intermediate to advanced skill levels, with depths typically ranging from 12 to 40 meters. The coral structures create natural channels and swimming passages that make exploration engaging and rewarding.
Marine life at Grand Coral is abundant and diverse. Divers regularly encounter schools of fusiliers, snappers, and jacks, while reef sharks, groupers, and trevally patrol the deeper sections. The healthy coral gardens attract numerous smaller species including butterflyfish, parrotfish, and damselfish. Occasional encounters with larger pelagic species add excitement to dives.
The site’s excellent visibility and rich biodiversity make it ideal for both photography and marine observation. Strong currents are common, requiring proper buoyancy control and experience.
