Golden Blocks
# Golden Blocks Dive Site, Dahab
Dive Conditions
Golden Blocks is a spectacular reef dive located in Dahab, Sinai, along Egypt’s Red Sea coast in the Gulf of Aqaba. This popular site features distinctive golden-hued rock formations that create dramatic underwater landscapes and natural swim-throughs.
Divers explore a sloping reef descent beginning at approximately 5 meters and extending to depths of 40+ meters, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. The site offers excellent visibility, typically ranging from 20-40 meters depending on conditions.
Marine life encounters include vibrant coral gardens, schools of fusiliers, groupers, snappers, and reef sharks. Macro enthusiasts spot nudibranchs, shrimp, and crustaceans among the crevices. Pelagic species occasionally patrol the deeper sections.
The geological formations create natural channels and overhangs perfect for exploration, with plenty of photographic opportunities. The moderate current and accessible entry point via boat make Golden Blocks an ideal site for divers seeking both adventure and natural beauty in the Red Sea.
