Dive Conditions
Ceningan Wall is a dramatic drift dive site located in the Badung Strait between Ceningan and Penida Islands in Bali. This challenging deep-water destination descends to 40+ meters, making it suitable for advanced divers only.
Divers encounter a spectacular vertical wall formation adorned with colorful soft corals, sea fans, and sponges. The site’s strong currents attract pelagic marine life, including reef sharks, trevally, mackerel, and occasional mola mola (ocean sunfish), particularly during seasonal migrations.
The wall’s nutrient-rich waters support dense coral gardens teeming with smaller reef fish species. Visibility typically ranges from 15-30 meters depending on conditions. The challenging currents and depth require excellent buoyancy control and strong swimming ability.
Ceningan Wall rewards experienced divers with unforgettable encounters with large marine life and pristine coral ecosystems. Best dived during dry season months when conditions are most favorable. This site is not recommended for beginners or intermediate divers due to its demanding characteristics and unpredictable current patterns.
