Banana Reef is a premier diving destination in South Male Atoll, Kaafu, offering excellent exploration opportunities for divers of all levels. The site typically reaches depths of 5-40 meters, making it accessible for both beginners and intermediate divers. Divers encounter spectacular coral gardens adorned with soft corals, table corals, and brain corals that create stunning underwater landscapes.
Marine life is abundant, with frequent sightings of reef sharks, trevally, snappers, barracuda, and colorful parrotfish. The site’s strong currents attract larger pelagic species, including occasionally spotted manta rays and eagle rays during optimal seasons.
