Aquarium is a premier dive site located at Lhohifushi in the North Male Atoll, Kaafu Atoll, Maldives. This accessible reef dive offers excellent visibility and abundant marine life in the Indian Ocean waters of the Maldives.
Divers explore a vibrant coral garden featuring hard and soft corals in various colors and formations. The site is characterized by a gently sloping reef that descends to depths of 5-30 meters, making it suitable for divers of all experience levels. The moderate current and shallow-to-intermediate depth classification provides an ideal environment for both beginners and experienced divers.
Marine life at Aquarium is exceptionally diverse. Divers commonly encounter schools of fusiliers, snappers, and trevally, along with reef sharks and rays. Smaller species like boxfish, parrotfish, and groupers inhabit the coral structures. Macro photography opportunities abound with nudibranchs, shrimp, and crustaceans visible among the corals.
The site’s clear waters and thriving ecosystem make Aquarium one of the Maldives’ most popular diving destinations, offering consistent encounters with the region’s rich biodiversity.
