# Abu Read Dive Site

Abu Read is a premier diving destination located in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt, offering exceptional underwater experiences for divers of varying skill levels. Situated in the Qesm Shlatin region, this site features impressive coral formations and vibrant reef ecosystems typical of Egypt’s Red Sea.

Divers can expect depths ranging from 15 to 40 meters, making it suitable for both intermediate and advanced divers. The site showcases spectacular hard and soft coral gardens, with excellent visibility that often exceeds 25 meters. Marine life encounters include schools of tropical fish, rays, groupers, snappers, and occasionally larger pelagic species.

The reef structure provides dramatic underwater topography with slopes and drop-offs that create dynamic diving conditions. Abu Read’s rich biodiversity makes it an ideal location for both reef exploration and macro photography.

The site presents moderate difficulty, requiring good buoyancy control and comfort at greater depths. Strong currents can occur, making it best suited for divers with previous Red Sea experience. Ideal visiting conditions are typically from September through May.
