Dive Schools in Koh Tao, Thailand
FindADive lists 44 dive centres on Koh Tao in the Gulf of Thailand. Many of them are based along Sairee Beach on the west coast and around the pier at Mae Haad, with others at Chalok Baan Kao in the south and in the bays on the east coast.
We have reviewed the websites of 41 of these centres. 22 of them teach SSI courses and 20 PADI courses; a few also offer technical training with TDI, SDI or RAID. 26 offer nitrox.
Where centres publish prices, a full Open Water course costs between THB 8,990 and THB 12,000, with a median of THB 10,700 (14 centres, checked October 2026).
The dive sites Koh Tao centres name most often are Chumphon Pinnacle, Sail Rock, Southwest Pinnacle, White Rock and Shark Island, followed by Twins, Mango Bay, Japanese Gardens and the wreck HTMS Sattakut. Sea temperatures range from around 28 °C in January to 31 °C in May.
