Shab James is a premier reef diving destination located in Qesm Hurghada, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt. This vibrant site features dramatic coral formations and rocky outcrops with depths ranging from 12 to 40 meters, suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
Divers encounter spectacular hard and soft corals, colorful sponges, and intricate reef structures teeming with marine life. Common sightings include groupers, snappers, fusiliers, and parrotfish, with opportunities to spot rays, reef sharks, and moray eels. The site’s shallow plateau gradually descends to deeper walls, offering varied exploration options.
Strong currents are typical at Shab James, making proper buoyancy control and experience essential. The site’s natural topography creates excellent drift diving conditions and exceptional visibility, typically ranging from 15 to 25 meters.
