The Pools is a shallow, beginner-friendly dive site located in Dahab, Sinai, within Egypt’s Red Sea. Situated in the Gulf of Aqaba, this site offers an ideal introduction to reef diving with depths ranging from 5 to 12 meters.

Divers explore a series of interconnected shallow pools and coral formations creating a natural underwater garden. The site features scattered hard and soft corals with sandy patches interspersed throughout. The calm, protected waters make navigation straightforward for novice divers.

Marine life encounters include colorful reef fish such as angelfish, parrotfish, and damselfish. Hawksbill and green sea turtles occasionally visit the area. Smaller species like nudibranchs and sea stars inhabit the coral crevices.

The Pools’ gentle topography, minimal current, and shallow maximum depth make it perfect for newly certified divers and those practicing skills. Excellent visibility and abundant coral life provide memorable underwater photography opportunities. Accessibility from the shore enhances its popularity as a training and recreational dive destination in Dahab.
