Ras Abdella is a stunning reef dive site located in Qesm Safaga along Egypt’s Red Sea coast. This popular destination offers depths ranging from 5 to 40 meters, suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. The site features a dramatic reef wall adorned with vibrant hard and soft corals, including table corals and sea fans that create a visually spectacular underwater landscape.

Divers encounter abundant marine life including reef fish schools, groupers, snappers, and occasional pelagic species. Moray eels, octopuses, and crustaceans inhabit the reef crevices. The site’s nutrient-rich waters attract larger fish species, making it ideal for wildlife enthusiasts. Clear visibility typically ranges from 15 to 25 meters, providing excellent conditions for underwater photography.

Ras Abdella’s location in the Red Sea’s Indian Ocean waters makes it accessible for day trips from Safaga. The combination of pristine coral formations, diverse marine biodiversity, and moderate to challenging conditions makes this reef a must-visit destination for experienced Red Sea divers seeking authentic Egyptian diving experiences.
