Umm Gamar East, located in Qesm Hurghada along Egypt’s Red Sea coast, offers an exceptional diving experience for intermediate to advanced divers. This site features dramatic coral formations and rocky outcrops that create a visually stunning underwater landscape.
Divers explore depths ranging from 12 to 40 meters, navigating around impressive coral gardens and boulder-strewn terrain. The site’s main attractions include healthy hard and soft coral colonies showcasing vibrant colors and diverse structures.
Marine life encounters are abundant and varied. Divers commonly spot large pelagic species including groupers, snappers, and jacks, while smaller reef fish dart through coral branches. The area occasionally hosts encounters with rays and sharks, particularly reef sharks that patrol the deeper sections.
