Dive Conditions
Pulau Dayang, located off Batanta Island in Indonesia’s renowned Raja Ampat Islands, offers an exceptional diving experience in the Halmahera Sea. This Pacific Ocean site features depths ranging from 12 to 40 meters, suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
Divers encounter stunning coral formations, including healthy hard and soft corals, alongside dramatic rock outcrops and sandy slopes. The site showcases vibrant marine biodiversity characteristic of Raja Ampat’s world-class reefs.
Marine life encounters include schools of fusiliers, groupers, snappers, and trevally, with opportunities to spot reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, and various macro species. The nutrient-rich waters attract eagle rays and occasionally larger pelagic species.
Strong currents are common, making this site best suited for experienced divers comfortable with drift diving techniques. Visibility typically ranges from 15 to 30 meters, depending on seasonal conditions.
