Cape Kri, located on Kri Island in Raja Ampat, West Papua, is one of Indonesia’s most spectacular dive sites. Situated in the Halmahera Sea, this Pacific Ocean destination offers world-class diving for intermediate to advanced divers.

This site features dramatic underwater topography with steep walls, rocky outcrops, and vibrant coral formations. Divers descend to depths of 5-40 meters, encountering strong currents that bring nutrient-rich waters supporting exceptional marine biodiversity.

Cape Kri is renowned for its incredible fish life, including large schools of barracuda, trevally, and fusiliers. Divers frequently spot reef sharks, groupers, snappers, and Napoleon wrasses. The site’s diverse coral gardens provide habitat for nudibranchs, crustaceans, and countless tropical fish species.

The challenging current conditions demand proper buoyancy control and experience with drift diving. Best dived during slack tide periods when currents moderate. Early morning dives typically offer better visibility and calmer conditions, making Cape Kri an unforgettable experience for seasoned underwater explorers.
