Discover Laem Thien Pinnacle, an exceptional dive site off Koh Tao in Thailand’s Gulf of Thailand. This underwater pinnacle rises dramatically from the seafloor, creating a stunning rock formation that attracts diverse marine life. Divers encounter vibrant coral gardens, schools of fusiliers, snappers, and occasionally larger pelagic species including reef sharks and barracuda.
The site features multiple depth zones, with the pinnacle’s top beginning around 12 meters and dropping to depths of 30-40 meters, making it suitable for both intermediate and advanced divers. Crystal-clear waters provide excellent visibility, typically ranging from 15-25 meters, ideal for photography and exploration.
Marine biodiversity is remarkable, with colorful nudibranchs, lionfish, groupers, and various ray species inhabiting the rocky outcrops. The pinnacle’s unique topography creates interesting swim-throughs and ledges to explore.
Laem Thien Pinnacle is moderately challenging due to potential currents and depth, requiring good buoyancy control. Best visited during the dry season (November to May), this Gulf of Thailand gem offers unforgettable underwater scenery and encounters with abundant tropical marine life.
