Dive Conditions
Chapati is a premier dive destination in Meemu Atoll, Maldives, featuring stunning coral formations and abundant marine biodiversity. Located in the Indian Ocean, this site offers excellent visibility and diverse underwater topography suitable for various skill levels.
Divers explore pristine coral gardens, dramatic drop-offs, and sandy slopes teeming with life. The site showcases vibrant hard and soft corals that create spectacular natural landscapes. Visibility typically ranges from 15-30 meters, providing excellent conditions for underwater photography and observation.
Marine life encounters include reef sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, and large schools of jacks and fusiliers. Smaller species such as groupers, snappers, and colorful reef fish are abundant throughout the site. Macro enthusiasts will find nudibranchs, crustaceans, and other small organisms nestled within coral crevices.
Chapati accommodates both intermediate and advanced divers, with depths ranging from 5 to 40+ meters. The moderate to strong currents require good buoyancy control and experience. Drift diving is common here, making it ideal for divers comfortable navigating current conditions in the Maldives’ premier atoll system.
