# Felidhoo Kandu Dive Site
Dive Conditions
Felidhoo Kandu is a premier diving destination in Vaavu Atoll, Maldives, featuring a dramatic channel dive through one of the Indian Ocean’s most vibrant underwater passages. Located in Felidhu Atoll, this site showcases stunning coral formations and a thriving marine ecosystem.
Divers encounter colorful coral gardens, spectacular rock formations, and clear waters teeming with life. The channel’s currents attract large pelagic species including reef sharks, tuna, and barracuda, while smaller inhabitants like nudibranchs and reef fish populate the coral structures.
Depths typically range from 8 to 40 meters, accommodating various skill levels. The site is best suited for intermediate to advanced divers due to potentially strong currents common in atoll channels. Drift diving is the preferred technique, allowing divers to navigate the passage efficiently.
Visibility is generally excellent, often exceeding 25 meters. The combination of nutrient-rich waters and protected channels makes Felidhoo Kandu an ideal spot for observing abundant marine biodiversity and experiencing the dynamic nature of Maldivian channel diving.
