Dhigu Thila North is a premier diving destination in Ari Atoll, featuring a spectacular underwater mountain rising from the Indian Ocean floor. This site offers intermediate to advanced divers a thrilling experience with depths ranging from 15 to 40+ meters.
Divers encounter a vibrant coral-covered pinnacle teeming with marine life. The thila’s steep walls showcase colorful soft and hard corals, while strong currents attract pelagic species including reef sharks, tuna, and barracuda. Schools of jacks and snappers patrol the site, alongside groupers and moray eels nestled in crevices.
The northern section provides excellent drift diving opportunities, with the possibility of encountering eagle rays and occasional mantas. Visibility typically reaches 20-30 meters, ideal for observing the rich biodiversity.
