Maagiri Rock is a thrilling dive destination located in Kanduoiy Giri within North Male Atoll, Kaafu Atoll, Maldives. This Indian Ocean site offers an exhilarating underwater experience suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
The dive site features dramatic rock formations and steep walls that descend to depths ranging from 12 to 40 meters, providing diverse exploration opportunities. Divers encounter vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish species, including snappers, fusiliers, and jacks that often school in impressive numbers.
Marine life encounters frequently include reef sharks, particularly blacktips and whitetips, along with eagle rays and occasional manta rays during seasonal visits. The strong currents characterizing this site attract pelagic species while challenging divers’ skills.
The rocky topography creates natural channels and overhangs where divers observe nudibranchs, groupers, and smaller reef fish sheltering in crevices. Visibility typically ranges from 15 to 30 meters, depending on conditions.
