Foteyo East Point in Felidhu Atoll, Vaavu Atoll, is an exceptional diving destination in the Maldives. This Indian Ocean site features dramatic underwater topography with steep outer walls and vibrant coral formations that create an immersive diving experience.
Divers encounter abundant marine life including reef sharks, eagle rays, groupers, and schools of barracuda and trevally. The site’s rich coral ecosystems support diverse tropical fish species, making it ideal for marine enthusiasts and underwater photographers.
Depths range from 5 to 40+ meters, accommodating both recreational and advanced divers. The site’s variable depth allows for extended exploration of the reef structure and wall formations at different levels.
Difficulty is rated intermediate to advanced due to occasional strong currents typical of atoll channels and outer wall environments. Proper buoyancy control and current awareness are essential. The site is best suited for experienced divers comfortable with drift diving and varying water conditions.
