Sharm El Arab South is a premier diving destination located in Qesm Safaga, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt. This site offers divers an exceptional underwater experience in the warm waters of the Red Sea.
The reef features vibrant coral formations with excellent visibility, typically ranging from 20-40 meters. Divers explore dramatic drop-offs and coral walls teeming with diverse marine life. The site is home to schools of anthias, groupers, fusiliers, and snappers. Sharp-eyed divers frequently spot reef sharks, turtles, and octopuses among the crevices.
Depth ranges from 12 to 40+ meters, making Sharm El Arab South suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. The site’s moderate to strong currents require good buoyancy control and experience with drift diving.
The southern orientation provides excellent protection during northerly winds, making it accessible throughout most of the diving season.
