Dive Conditions
Shab Rahma is a premier reef diving destination located in Qesm Al Qoseir, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt. This dive site features a vibrant coral reef system with depths ranging from 5 to 40 meters, suitable for intermediate to advanced divers.
Divers explore spectacular coral formations, including hard and soft corals that create colorful underwater landscapes. The site’s reef structure offers numerous crevices and overhangs to investigate. Marine life is abundant, with encounters including reef sharks, groupers, snappers, jacks, and schools of fusiliers. Smaller reef fish, moray eels, and occasional sea turtles are also common.
Strong currents are typical at Shab Rahma, making it best suited for experienced divers comfortable with drift diving techniques. The site offers excellent visibility, typically 15-30 meters, ideal for photography and observation.
Best diving conditions occur during calmer months, though the Red Sea’s tropical waters remain warm year-round. Shab Rahma delivers diverse marine biodiversity and dramatic reef topography, making it a rewarding dive for those with appropriate skills and experience.
